Imagination Crafts - July Challenge Mid Month Inspiration - Anything Goes

Morning lovelies I hope you are all well and having a nice week. Well college is officially all finished now and I thought things might slow down a bit but it doesn't seem to have, time has run away and I am now frantically trying to get things ready for the garden art exhibition which is this coming weekend. One of these days I will eventually have a day with no huge to do list hanging over my head lol (fingers crossed).

Anyway enough rambling today is the mid month inspiration for Imagination Crafts Challenge Blog's July challenge, Our theme this time is Anything Goes it is sponsored by Imagination Crafts and we have all used their fabulous products to make our projects.

Before I go on to my make I would like to point out that only entries using Imagination Crafts products will go in to the prize draw (although non IC makes can get top 3 spots).

For this challenge I have decorated these two wooden artists tool boxes which I gave to my tutors at college as a thank you gift. As some of you may know I have been doing Pyrography (wood burning) since I was a child but haven't done any for ages so I thought this was the perfect opportunity. I used the Honeycomb, Diamond, Window Arch (just the flourishes around the edges), and Flourish stencils from Imagination Crafts and marked the patterns on to the boxes in pencil (also writing in my words in pencil). I then used my wood burning tool (like you would a pencil, just a very hot one lol) and burnt the patterns and writing in to the wood. That's really all there was to it, very simple but I like the effect.

Thank you for reading this post I hope it has been of some interest, as always I love to read your comments and I hope you will all come and join in with the challenge at Imagination Crafts Challenge Blog.

Imagination Crafts - July Challenge - Anything Goes

Morning lovelies I hope you are all well, the exhibition was really good, I got an award at the private view and a distinction for my final project, so I was really happy. It's all left me a bit worn out so I have been trying to take it easy but it was definitely worth it.

Today  is the start of Imagination Crafts Challenge Blog's July challenge, Our theme this time is Anything Goes. The challenge is sponsored by Imagination Crafts and we have all used their fabulous products to make our projects.

Before I go on to my make I would like to point out that only entries using Imagination Crafts products will go in to the prize draw (although non IC makes can get top 3 spots).

For this challenge I have made a card using the woodgrain stencil with 3 different shades of distress ink (for a natural looking colour variation), I kept this make fairly simple because I thought the stencil was gorgeous and it made a very gender neutral card. I then simply layered on to black card, stamped out a sentiment and decorated with ribbon and a cogs charm.

Morning lovelies I hope you are all well and having a nice week. It's all rush rush here at the moment as my final exhibition for college is next week and my to do list is gigantic lol.

For this challenge I have decorated this little wooden bowl, first I painted it with metallic green paint then I used Imagination Crafts Daisy Delight stencil and Antique Bronze Sparkle Medium to add detail to it, I then just added some flowers, bead sprays and lace butterflies to decorate.

Imagination Crafts - June Challenge - All That Glitters

Morning lovelies I hope you are all well, things are getting a bit busy round here at the moment as the final exhibition draws closer but so far I am managing to keep on top of things and balance my health ok (touch wood).

Today  is the start of Imagination Crafts Challenge Blog's June challenge, Our theme this time is All That Glitters. The challenge is sponsored by Imagination Crafts and we have all used their fabulous products to make our projects.

Before I go on to my make I would like to point out that only entries using Imagination Crafts products will go in to the prize draw (although non IC makes can get top 3 spots).

For this challenge I have made a card using the Daisy Delight Stencil and  Diamond Glitter Medium from Imagination Crafts on to black card for the background and then matt and layered on to black and white card. I then used the Dragonfly Stamp from Imagination Crafts and just added some more glitter medium on the dragonfly wings and a little pearlidoodles on the bodies. When everything was layered up I just decorated with a little bit of satin ribbon, some paper flowers and some wire and bead sprays.

Imagination Crafts - May Challenge Mid Month Inspiration - Things With Wings

Morning lovelies I hope you are all well and having a nice week. I have my internet back now but I am suffering with chest pains again now, I think I have been pushing myself with my college work as the final exhibition is looming ever closer now. I am definitely looking forward to the summer holidays lol.

Today  is the mid month inspiration for Imagination Crafts Challenge Blog's May challenge, Our theme this time is Things With Wings it is sponsored by Imagination Crafts and we have all used their fabulous products to make our projects.

Before I go on to my make I would like to point out that only entries using Imagination Crafts products will go in to the prize draw (although non IC makes can get top 3 spots).

For this challenge I have used the Butterfly Blossom Duo stencil, the Elemental stencil and the Black Stars Giltter Medium from Imagination Crafts. This is another very simple make, I just stenciled the glitter medium through the stencils on to coloured card and once it was dry just layered them up and put them on the card.

Imagination Crafts - May Challenge - Things With Wings

Morning lovelies I hope you are all well, I did stay quite well over half term so I was really pleased about that unfortunately my internet has not been working though so I am currently at college writing this post as I don't know how long it will be before my internet is back.

Today  is the start of Imagination Crafts Challenge Blog's May challenge, Our theme this time is Things With Wings. The challenge is sponsored by Imagination Crafts and we have all used their fabulous products to make our projects.

For this challenge I have made a a very simple card using the butterfly flourish stencil and the owl from the witch broom stencil from Imagination Crafts with my distress inks. I have then just used the sparkle gel medium from Imagination Crafts to give it some shimmer and layered it on to some white and tan card then on to an 8"x8" card blank and punched the corners with an EK Success corner punch to give it a little shape. I was going to add some butterfly embellies and ribbon but when I put it together I really liked it simple so I left it.

Morning lovelies I hope you are all well and having a nice weekend. So far the half term has gone well (touch wood) and  I have been doing well although it has been quite busy. I am hoping to actually get a chance to come and visit your blogs in the next few days.

Today  is the mid month inspiration for Imagination Crafts Challenge Blog's April challenge, Our theme this time is Anything Goes it is sponsored by Imagination Crafts and we have all used their fabulous products to make our projects.

Before I go on to my make I would like to point out that only entries using Imagination Crafts products will go in to the prize draw (although non IC makes can get top 3 spots).

For this challenge I have used the Dragonflies stamp set image and a sentiment from the Snowdrops stamp set coloured with Flexmarkers and decoupaged and I have then used the sparkle gel medium from Imagination Crafts to add some sparkle on the wings. I then layered the image on to white card, two types of lace  and some purple paper and decorated with a few flowers.
