Airy Fairy

Evening all, I hope that you have all enjoyed your Saturday,  I have been in a strange mood today, I guess you could say reflective, I have been listening to the Ed Sheeran  album a lot lately, I love the whole album but there is this song on there called small bump, it hits a little close to home for me but it doesn't make me sad, it just makes me remember, it's a really beautiful song. Anyway I won't ramble on about that anymore I was going to try and explain but if you have listened to the song I think maybe you will understand.

To make this card, I have used 2 papers from  the first edition Up Up & Away paper pack and 1 paper from a Kate Knight paper pack that was free with a magazine. The stamped image is LOTV and coloured in with promarkers and Flex  markers and then highlighted with glitter glue. I have then used buttons, bows, flowers, flourishes and some more of my stick pins to decorate. The flourishes are cut out using a Tim Holtz die and I also used an EK Success corner punch on the card base.

I would like to enter this card in to the following challenges,

The Newest Edition To My Magnolia Collection

Evening all, I hope you are all well and looking forward to your weekend, I am later than I intended to be once again, I am always chasing my tail at the moment lol.

Since yesterdays attempt at being less orderly with my cards seemed to go down well I thought that I would have another go at it using the newest edition to my magnolia collection...................

So what do you think of Lilyrose the dragon? I fell in love with this stamp as soon as  I saw it and just knew that my Magnolia would need to extended a  little bit, it arrived this morning and  I just had to use it.  I have  used a DCWV paper from the Once Upon A Time paper  stack, some hand made yellow paper with petals in it  and some green  fabric and woven ribbon with a lace trim. I  have then used some flourishes cut out using a Tim Holtz die,  some trailing flowers, ribbon roses  and a flower made from beads and wire to decorate. Finally I made my nest and eggs, I saw a card on Debbie's Blog a few days back that had a nest on it with eggs in, I liked it so much and I didn't have anything like this so I thought I would have a go at  making something similar, I  used paper string to make the nest and fimo to make the eggs.

I would like to enter this card in to the following challenges,

Surf's Up!

Evening everyone, I hope you are all well and have had a good day, I really want to say thank you so much to everyone for the massively positive response and the huge amount of support that people have shown me after yesterdays post. I really was overwhelmed, I also want to say thank you to the people who very kindly and constructively offered me feedback on the website, it really is so so helpful as this is all new to me and I am still very much at a trial and error  stage, it's really important to me to get things right. I have taken all of the comments on board and will be tweaking the website over the next few days. I really do appreciate the support from you all and I have to say I don't think you are ever getting rid of me now lol but seriously I do regard myself as very very lucky to have such wonderful bloggy friends. (if you missed yesterdays post please scroll down to see what I am rambling on about lol)

Ok so now that all of the mushy waffle bit of the post is over with I do have a card to show you, I very in to experimenting with different styles and effects at the moment and I have seen lots of lovely examples of cards with several pieces of torn paper and lots of different textures etc and have been wanting to give it go. I find this particularly difficult for two reasons, firstly because I often feel compelled to be quite orderly with my cards and secondly because ripping some of my prettiest papers in to little pieces just feels wrong. But I am really glad I that I went with it and had a go.

I have tried to take a lot of pictures to show that I have made my easel card and then made a little hingey thing with strips of card and brads so that my waves move back and forth, I should really figure out how to do video on my blog lol i think it probably would have been easier. The last picture shows the hingey thing on the left before I added the waves to  it. Three of the papers that I have used are graphics 45, I have also used some core'dinations kraft core card which I have torn and sanded. My image is a stamp from Magnolia and I have coloured her in using Promarkers and flex markers. I have then added some hessian fabric, some mossy bits from my flower stash that I thought looked like seaweed, a string of pearls and some of my handmade stick pins. I  cut out the little seahorses using a cuttlebug die and made my bow which is just long piece of ribbon looped over and tied repeatedly, I stuck the bow down on top of piece of organza that  I just folded over and glued in place and then I added button to the center of the bow. I think that's everything.

I would like to enter this card in to the following challenges,
Diva's By Design Challenge Blog - Challenge 28 - Stamp Something
Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog - Simon Says Anything Goes
I Love Promarkers Challenge Blog - Challenge #110 -  Bead It ( I used  beads to make my stick pins)

Exciting News, DT Call & A Card

Hi everyone, I hope  you are all well, I will be trying to escape the evil clutches of the computer for a little while after posting this as my head still isn't great.

As promised a short while back, I have some exciting news, I have set up a website to sell my artwork as digi stamps, if  you would like to have a look it can be found here, I would love to get as much feedback as possible, good or bad as it is  still very early days and I am learning as I go. There are still lots more images to be uploaded so new stuff will be appearing daily.

I have also set up a new challenge blog to go with the website and we are currently holding  a DT call so I would really love it if you could pop over and  become a follower and/or apply for the DT. I haven't mentioned it yet on the challenge blog but I have 4 candies planned for the launch when we start the new weekly challenges, 2 for this blog and 2 for the challenge blog, each of the blogs will have one digi candy and one stuff candy, and all of them will be open worldwide. It's all very exciting but all of this computer time is wearing me out a bit lol.

I do have a card to show  you although I am not sure what I think about this one lol I love Marie's shed and how it turned out but just not sure about the card overall, maybe it's my artwork that's throwing me off lol.

To make this card I have use a 6"x6" card base, 1 paper that was free with quick cards and 1 paper from the first editions spring feast paper pack, the shed image is beach hut digi drawn by the lovely Marie and you can get it from http://mycraftmarket.blogspot.co.uk/#axzz1qQlaR3Iq. The girl is one of my own digi's (she isn't on the website yet but she will  be). I have then used my icicle die from Marianne's Designs to cut out my grass layers and added a chipboard tag some paper string and some flowers to decorate.

I would like to enter this in to the following challenges,

LOTV Spring Bunnies

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well and having a good day, I am still completely thrown off by it being light in the evenings I keep thinking it's a lot earlier in the day than it actually is so I am constantly running behind lol not much new there then.

To make this card, I have used an 8"x8" card blank, 3 papers from a Graphics 45 paper pad (that I won in Rina's fab candy). The Image and sentiment are both stamps from Lili Of The Valley and coloured in with Promarkers and Flex markers. The large die cut frame and the flourishes are from Marianne's Designs and the   tag is from Spellbinders (and was also from Rina's  candy, it really was a fantastic prize and I was very lucky to win it). The circles were cut out with a punch and the flower was made using Spellbinders rose dies after seeing Lee's tutorial (mine don't look anywhere near as good as Lee's). I have then added ribbon, bows,  buttons and charms to decorate (little flower charms came from a cheapy little kiddies charm bracelet that was in a seafront novelty type shop so I got 3 and took them to pieces) .

I would like to enter this card in to the following challenges,
Passion For Promarkers Challenge Blog - Week 142 - Theme - Ribbons & Buttons

A Little Bit Goth!

Evening Everyone, I hope you are all well and enjoying the sunshine, I am not so good again, chest pains, migraine yada yada yada, seems like every time I do anything lately those are the consequences lol oh well such is life I guess and I am not about to let it stop me.

Today's card is a little bit different for me and I am really quite pleased with it, I didn't have any papers that were what I wanted so I made the purple paper myself, which meant that the card took a lot longer than I really wanted to spend on it but I think it was worth it in the end.

Sorry that the piccies are a little bit blurry, my hands tend to shake when I am not feeling great and it makes it really difficult to take a decent photo.

To make my card I have used an 8"x8" scalloped card blank, some plain black card, I have then added a die cut doily cut from red paper using a Cheery Lynn die and  a my section with my own handmade paper trimmed with black lace.  Next I added my frame and flourishes cut from red paper using Marianne's Design Dies. My image is a stamp from Sugar Nellie and coloured in using Promarkers and Flex markers.  I then added my stips of purple fuzzy ribbon and some black paper flowers to the top right of the card, my thistle flowers to the bottom right (I have had these in my stash for ages and been dying to use them but not known what to do, then this week I get two ideas at once so expect to see some more of them soon lol). I have then added some of my handmade stick pins (to everyone that guessed that Luke made these ones, nope these are mine, Luke likes girly pretty things! lol) and some netty ribbon made in to a bow (which I won in the lovely Rina's candy). Last but not least I added a few peel off stars.

I would like to enter this card in to the following challenges,
Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog - Simon Says Bingo (I have gone for flowers, lace & ribbon)

PanPastel Challenge Blog - Challenge 11 - Bright Colours

Morning all, hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend. Its time for a new challenge to start over at the PanPastel Challenge Blog and this week the theme is Bright Colours, the prize is a fab PanPastel starter kit provided by our regular sponsor Your Creativity Store.

Here is what I came up with,
Quite a simple one this week, I have just used a 6"x6" scalloped card base, a layer of black card, I have then cut out panels of white card and embossed them using the embossing folders from the Tim Holtz Swirls and Burlap pack and then added colour to them using Magenta and Green PanPastel, the chipboard letters were ones that came free with Crafts Beautiful Magazine a couple of months back.

Thanks for reading this post, as always I love to read your comments and I hope that you will come and join in with the PanPastel challenge blog as we love to see your beautiful creations.

The stamps are  from Joanna Sheen House Mouse sets and the cupcake images and the greeting are from this months issue of Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine, all coloured in with Promarkers and Flex markers. A Hair Cut, A New Baby Nephew & A Card

Evening all, I hope you have all had a great and sunny friday, I meant to post a lot earlier but it's been a bit hectic today, I took in a little bit of sunshine this morning then I got a hair cut and then my new baby nephew Edward decided to finally arrive.

So what do you think? It's not actually as short as I wanted it and I am thinking I would like to take more length off the front but not sure yet, all opinions would be gratefully received.

To make my card I have used 2 Kate Knight papers that were free from Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine, and some Core'dinations potion no. 9 which I have embossed and sanded on one of the layers near the back and I have also cut out my clock face from it using a Tim Holtz die and again sanded it. I have coloured in my Magnolia stamped image using promarkers and flex markers and added two of my own hand made paper flowers and one flower that was actually a broach that I picked up in a charity shop. I have then added a tiny pearl to the top left and bottom right of the card and made a bow from some easter bunny ribbon that I found in poundland.

I cut the trailing bits off the broach and removed the pin to use it on my card.

I would like to enter my card in to the following challenges,

A bit of a different card to my usual style so I would really  love to know what you think.

A Pink And Girly Teddy Bo Card

Hi everyone, I hope that you are all well, there has been sunshine here for 3 days in a row, dare I start to believe that spring may actually be here? Lol I really hope so.

To make my card I have used two sheets of cream A4 card both scored at 6cm and 12cm in from one side and stuck the scored area's together. I have then used more cream card and papers from Crafters Companion Fairyopolis paper pack for my decorative panels on the front and the inside, I have distressed the edges using a craft knife and decorated the one for the front of the card with some glittery swirls using a quickie glue pen. My image is a digi from Teddy Bo and is coloured in using Promarkers and I have also added glitter to her wings, skirt and the star on the wand. I have then used lace, hat pins (more that I made the other day, I have a pic of the others that I made and will post it later), buttons and gems to decorate. I also used a small flourish and some flowers, the center flower is one that I made myself using satin ribbon (after seeing Sue Wilson demo how to make them on tv) and I have then added some paper flowers from my stash around the outside of it.

I would like to enter this card in to the following challenges,
